Alcoholic Beverages - Alchohol is a catalyst for fungal growth, and fungus is one of the main producers of cancer.  Beer, Wine, & Hard Liquor turn to sugar in the blood and fungi primarily feed upon sugar leading to the overgrowth of fungal organisms and yeast within the body.  Alcohol also depresses the immunity by depleting nutrients.  Excess use of Alcohol damages white blood cells, deranges the liver, pancreas, and kidneys; oxidizes the spleen, & poisons the bone marrow.  Long term use of Beer especially causes Edema and Kidney Stones.  Furthermore, Alcohol is the number one cause of High Blood Pressure, Brain Damage, and Cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart) and a leading cause of Breast Cancer in both women and men.

 

Aluminum - including Metallic Mineral Supplements, Antacids, Deodorants, Hair Sprays, Baking Power, Processed Cheeses, Processed Table Salt, Canned Drinks, Canned Foods, Canned Juices; Frozen, Concentrated, & Reconstituted Juices; Tap Water, Foil Paper, Cookware, & Cooking Utensils.  Metal toxicity is a contributor to many human disorders and diseases.  However, Aluminum is one of the most toxic. Even the smallest amounts can block the absorption of calcium into the bones, as well as cause Cancer, Alzheimer's Disease, and many other disorders of the brain and nervous system. 

 

Animal Fats & Saturated Vegetable Fats - There are three types of fatty acids that build fat called Saturated (solid at room temperature), Monounsaturated (liquid at room temperature & solid when refrigerated), and Polyunsaturated (liquid at room temperature & when refrigerated).  Meat contains mainly Saturated Fat which is not extremely bad for you but not much good for you either. Because of its high content of fat and free radical damage, it has been found to accelerate the aging process and raise the level of "bad" cholesterol.  It's also very difficult to digest.  Do not choose oils that have been hydrogenated (pumped with hydrogen making them solid to increase shelf-life) because they create trans fatty acids which also increases free radical damage to cell membranes leading to inflamation.  Hydrogenated fats are found in margarine, most packaged baked goods, fried snacks, frozen products, some peanut butters, microwave popcorn, many salad dressings, and pancake mixes.

 

Artificial Sweeteners - Saccharin is a toxic chemical that causes extreme free-radical damage and has been linked to some cancers.  However, Aspartame is the deadliest toxin on the market today.  It is a synthetic chemical additive currently found in over 9000 foods, vitamins, and medicines which is highly addictive and has been found to cause Brain Tumors.  Aspartame consists of 10% methanol (wood alcohol found in a lot of cheap liquor) which causes blindness and fatalities.  The body does not know how to process it and changes it into formaldehyde (an embalming fluid and "Class A" carcinogen).  Methanol toxicity mimics Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Graves' disease, Epstein-Barr, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Lupus, Epilepsy, Mental Illness, and many others.  Furthermore, methanol depletes the body's oxygen, causes dizziness, sudden memory loss, loss of vision, and seizures, especially at high altitudes.  Safe substitutes for sugar include Xylitol or Stevia.

 

Caffeine - Coffee, which contains caffeine, is a nervine (calms excited nerves) and a cardiac stimulant.  It can be used occasionally for energy, hypotension, and depression but also being a mild narcotic makes it very addictive.  Personally, too much caffeine gives me heart palpitations and dizziness.  The safest natural source of caffeine comes from green tea.  So if you need energy, we recommend Yogi Tea's, Green Tea Energy.

 

Cigarettes - Most people by now know that cigarette smoking causes Lung Cancer and Emphysema.  However, it also causes many other cancers and illnesses including Cardiovascular Disease.  Cigarettes contain over 4000 chemicals and over 400 toxic substances.  The products of cigarettes that are the most damaging are tar (a carcinogen), nicotine (increases cholesterol levels in your body), and carbon monoxide (which reduces the body's oxygen supply).  If you must smoke, chewing small pieces of fresh pineapple mixed with a half teaspoon of raw honey reduces the nicotine toxicity level in your body and the desire to smoke.

 

Cookware - Avoid aluminum, enamel, copper, ceramic, non-stick, and stainless steel (contains toxic nickel) as much as possible because their toxicity can infiltrate food.  Try to mainly use glassware, cast iron, clay, or carbon steel such as a wok.

 

Dairy Products Produced with Hormones, Antibiotics, Artificial Fertilizers, or Radiation - Dairy builds all seven tissues, calms the mind, nerves, and emotions and is good for meditation, emaciation, wasting, bleeding, convalescence, and sexual debility.  It is most beneficial when it's raw and organic from animals that are treated kindly and receive no steroid injections or chemicals in there foods.  Dairy products include butter, cheese, milk, sour cream, whey, whipped cream, and yogurt.  Try to purchase organic dairy as much as possible.  Yes, I know it costs more, but I think the price would come down if we all stick together and refuse to ingest foods that contribute to disease.  Furthermore, dairy combines well with whole grains and raw sugars.  However, it is imcompatible with meat, fish (creates subtle toxins), yeast bread, sour fruit, nuts, pickles, and green leafy vegetables.   

 

Eggs that are Produced with Hormones, Antibiotics, Artificial Fertilizers, or Radiation - Eggs from comercially raised chickens are loaded with pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics which weaken the immune system causing illness.  Those eggs have a high content of fatty acids and harmful LDL Cholesterol.  Try to consume organic eggs from free-range chickens and other fowl because they are not high in fat nor have harmful cholesterol.  The good news about eggs is that they are nutritive, tonic (permanently increases the tone of the body) , demulcent (softening soothing, and protecting of mucus membranes, and skin), and an aphrodisiac (reinvigorating the body and sexual organs).  Be sure to refrigerate and cook well to protect against salmonella poisoning.   Absolutely, avoid egg substitutes made from toxic synthetic chemicals as they are highly incompatible with the human body.

 

Fake Fats - Avoid Olestra, Olean, and Margerine (contains seven solvents simular to axel grease and is one molecule away from being plastic).  Use grapeseed oil, coconut oil, or olive oil to cook.  These oils do not become toxic when heated.

 

Fast Foods and Junk Foods - Avoid foods that are processed, refined, and loaded with preservatives and fillers.  In fact, if you have not seen it yet, see the movie Super Size Me where Morgan Spurlock experiments with eating nothing but foods from McDonalds menu for one month.  You'll become highly informed if not enlightened by the outcome.

 

Foods Produced with Pesticides, Herbicides or Preservatives - Try to detoxify harmful toxins, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, carbon monoxide, metallics, commercial fertilizers, airborne radiation, parasites, antibiotics, growth hormones, bacteria, germs, and other poisons from all meats, vegetables, fruits, and eggs using one of the following methods:

 

 

Clorox Detoxification of Foods - According to Dr. Hazel Parcells, reknowned Nutritionist and Naturopath, Clorox is the most effective food detoxifer.  It does not harm foods.  It tenderizes and enhances the flavor of meats.  It enhances appearance and nutrient content of foods that can be immersed in water.  Clorox is made of sodium hydroxide to make bleach but does not leave behind free chlorine.  It removes harmful toxins and chemcals such as pesticides, herbicides, carbon monoxide, metallics, commercial fertilizers, airborne radiation, parasites, antibiotics, growth hormones, certain bacteria, and other poisons. 

 

Use 1 Teaspoon of Clorox Bleach per Gallon of Fresh Water to Make Soaking Solution in Sink.

 

Leafy Vegetables - soak 5 to 10 minutes in solution, soak again in fresh water for 5 minutes.  Rinse.

 

Root and Heavy-Fiber Vegetables - soak 10 to 15 minutes in solution, soak again in fresh water for 5 minutes.  Rinse. 

 

Thin-Skinned Fruits and Berries - soak 5 minutes in solution, soak again in fresh water for 5 minutes.  Rinse.

 

Heavy-Skinned Fruits - soak 10 to 15 minutes in solution, soak again in fresh water for 5 minutes.  Rinse.

 

Eggs - soak 20 to 30 minutes in solution, soak again in fresh water for 5 minutes.  Rinse.

 

Thawed Meats - soak 10 minutes per pound in solution, soak again in fresh water for 5 minutes.  Rinse.

 

Frozen Meats - soak 15 to 20 minutes per pound in solution, soak again in fresh water for 5 minutes.  Rinse.

 

 

White Vinegar Detoxification of Foods - add 1/4 cup of vinegar to 3 gallons of fresh water.

 

Leafy Green Vegetables - soak 2 to 3 minutes.  

 

Thin-Skinned Berries and Fruits - soak 1 to 2 minutes. 

 

Other Fruits and Vegetables - soak 5 to 10 minutes. 

 

Rinse and Scrub Produce Thoroughly After Soaking.

 

 

Apple Cider Vinegar Detoxification of Foods - Follow procedures for the Clorox Detoxification substituting Apple Cider Vinegar.

Genetically-Modified Foods - Food codes beginning with the number 8 are genetically modified.  Stay away from them even if they are organic.  These foods have built-in pesticides potentially exposing us to even higher concentrations of powerful cancer-causing chemicals, in particular herbicide glyphosphate.  In fact, we do not know yet what these genetically modified organisms will do to us and the environment.

 

High Fructose Corn Syrup Avoid all products containing high fructose corn syrup, especially consumers trying to avoid genetically modified foods.  According to a food technology expert, two of the enzymes used, alpha-amylase and glucose-isomerase, to break down the corn are genetically modified to make them more stable.  Therefore, genetically modified corn is probably being used as well.  Many beverages and other processed foods made with high-fructose corn syrup and other sweeteners are high in calories and low in nutritional value.  Regularly including these products in your diet has the potential to promote obesity — which, in turn, promotes conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and Coronary Artery Disease.   Furthermore, Fructose Sugar is not any safer.  It has been extracted from fruits changing the structure of enzymes and other proteins, resulting in tissue, organ damage, and aging.  For more detailed information see http://www.westonaprice.org/motherlinda/cornsyrup.html

 

Meats, Poultry, and Fish that are Produced with Hormones, Antibiotics, Artificial Fertilizers, or Radiation - Try to purchase Organic Free-Range only.  According to Ayurveda (Indian Spiritual Science), animal products are the most nourishing food, excellent for debility, and convalescence but can also be the most deranging food that breeds toxins, feeds infections, fevers, tumors, dulls the mind and senses, and reduces love and compassion.  Furthermore, eating large amounts of red meat may increase the likelihood of dying from Heart Disease and Cancer, according to a large federal study of AARP members.  People whose diets included large amounts of white meat, like chicken and fish, had a lower risk of death.    For more detailed information see http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102306407

 

Microwave Ovens - Microwave cooking is not natural or healthy.  It damages the food's life-force by splitting and deforming its molecules due to the microwave's alternating current.  These impaired cells become easy prey for viruses, fungi and other microorganisms.  Also, they result in the formation of new compounds that are unknown to humans or anything else in nature causing deterioration in human systems, particularly on blood chemistry.  According to Countryside Agency's Chief Executive speech in 2004, "Over the last sixty years there has been a decline of trace elements in fruit and vegetables; calcium content is down by 46%; copper by 75%; carrots have lost 75% of their magnesium and broccoli has lost 75% of its calcium".   In order to retain as much goodness in the food we eat, we need to consider not only where we buy it, but also how we cook it.  Microwaving foods pretty much ensures that you will kill all of the vitamins and minerals that it contains, leaving your food void of any nutritional value.  Further research has found that microwaving prepared meats to insure sanitary ingestion caused formation of d-Nitrosodienthanolamines, a well-known carcinogen.  Russian investigations have also found that microwaving milk and cereal grains converted some of their amino acids into carcinogens, thawing frozen fruits converted their glucoside and galactoside containing fractions into carcinogenic substances, and extremely short exposure of raw, cooked or frozen vegetables converted their plant alkaloids into carcinogens.  All food tested showed a 60% to 90% decreased food value.  For more detailed information see www.powerwatch.org.uk  

 

Nightshade Plants Increase Inflammation In the Body - Nightshades are healthy, but should be avoided if inflammatory conditions are present.  They include white potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, red peppers, eggplant, paprika, and tobacco.

 

Non-Prescription Drugs - Please do not turn to these under self-diagnosis.  To warn of a few, Dextromethorphan (DXM) is found in more than 120 over-the-counter cough & cold medications.  DXM can produce a "high" feeling and can be extremely dangerous in excessive amounts.  Ephedrine, caffeine, and phenylpropranolamine are just some of the dangerous and addictive substances found in diet pills.  All of these substances act as stimulants to the central nervous system and much like speed, can have serious and potentially fatal side effects. Other side effects include impaired judgment, nausea, loss of coordination, headache, vomiting, loss of consciousness, numbness of fingers and toes, abdominal pain, irregular heartbeat, aches, seizures, panic attacks, psychosis, euphoria, cold flashes, dizziness, diarrhea, addiction, restlessness, insomnia, high-blood pressure, and coma.

Personal Items that are Processed with any Unnatural Chemicals, Dyes, Inks, & Artificial Fragrances - If any toxic substances are absorbed into your body, they are linked to a lowered immune system, endometrioses, candida, and cancer.  The following should be white, hypo-allergenic, and made of cotton fibers: undergarments, wash cloths, bath towels, bed linen, tissue paper, sanitary napkins, diapers, etc.  If possible, wash all items thoroughly before they are utilized, especially if they contain dye etc.

 

Processed Meats - Forget eating bacon, sausage and lunchmeat. Processed Table Salt - Everything negative that you hear about ordinary table salt is true.  It is an isolated element that has been removed from its natural whole source and is bleached, kiln dried, heated, and altered with chemicals.  Synthetic salt-substitutes are also not healthy because synthetic substances are not compatible with human cells.  However, salt is necessary in the body to control the function of the adrenal gland which maintains fluid balance and controls blood sugar balance.  A little salt softens food and makes it more digestable.  It aids saliva and gastric juices while soothing and softening mucus membranes.  It relieves muscle tension and can be used as an emesis to clear the stomach.  We recommend Redmond Real Salt Ancient All Natural Sea Salt because it's unrefined and contains 50+ trace minerals including iodine.  Most of all, natural sea salt does not cause nor contribute to disease.  Redmond's also comes in garlic salt , onion salt, and seasoned salt.

Processed, Refined, and Pre-Packaged Food - The most toxic preservatives on the market today include nitrates, nitrites, FD&C artificial colors, azo dyes, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), monosodium glutamate (MSG), sulphites, brominated vegetable oil (BVO), camphor oil, coal tar, formaldehyde, all potassium preservatives except potassium glycerophosphate, all sodium preservatives except sodium riboflavin phosphate, sulphur dioxide, wormwood, and quinine.  Avoid frozen dinners, hamburger helpers, packaged seasonings, processed dry cereals, and certain canned foods.  Even though most frozen food and canned foods are without preservatives, they are grown with pesticides.  Furthermore, canned foods are void of enzymes and offer very little in nutrition.

Tampons - Try to use sanitary napkins as much as possible.  Avoid rayon fibers.  They are synthetic and carcinogenic.  Use those made from organic cotton fibers. Make sure that they are bleached with hydrogen peroxide and not chlorine.  Chlorine contains dioxins, a carcinogen.  Toxic substances absorbed into your body from tampons or napkins lower the immune system and are linked to Endometriosis, Candida, and Cancer. 

 

Tap Water - Detoxification of our bodies is absolutely necessary for health and healing.  Water is the body's only means of flushing out toxins from cells and lymph fluid.  It is the body's balancing element for every cellular function.  Be sure to drink water that does not contain dangerous chemical contaminants including E. Coli bacteria.  Chlorinated water although disinfected can react with organic matter to form cancer-causing trihalomethanes.  Even inhaling chlorine vapors while taking a shower can be toxic to the lungs.  Chlorine also kills lactobacilli which is vital for digestion.  Water containing chlorine and other chemicals has less of an ability to carry toxins out of our body forcing our liver and kidneys to be the filter. The quality of the water we drink is just as important as the amount.  Purify water with a reverse osmosis purifier (boiling water only concetrates the chemicals and heavy metals).  This purifier protects against disease-causing bacteria, fungi, viral microorganisms, parasites, cysts, spores, removes bad tastes and odors, and reduces chlorine, lead, arsenic, mercury, and other toxic metals by 99%.

 

Tight Bras and Underwire Bras - According to Swiss research, women who wear tight or underwire bras are five times more likely to get Breast Cancer because they constrict the circulation and lymph flow from the underarms.  This causes the lymph nodes to fill up and become infected eventually leading to abnormal mutating cells, hence Cancer.

 

Toxic Household Cleaners - Avoid using household chemical cleaners and lawn weed killers.  Also, avoid using Lysol because it has a toxic chemical added called ortophenylphenol.  Only use products that are environmentally safe and organic.

 

Toxic Laundry and Hygenic Products - Use organic or hypoallergenic laundry and hygenic products that come into contact with your skin.  These include skin and hair products, toothpastes, mouthwashes, douche solutions, deodorants, make-up, nail polishes, nail glues, cosmetics, colognes, perfumes, lotions, etc.  Check all product labels and avoid the following harmful toxic ingredients:

White Flour Products - Grain is a diuretic and nutritive.  It is the best staple for all climates and constitutions.   It gives bulk to stool and is easy to digest.  It is an element of the earth and builds all tissues.  Grains with pointed ends are best.  Steamed whole grains are the easiest to digest, next are pastas and noodles, then crackers.  Bread and Pastries are more difficult to digest.  Toasted bread is easier to digest, and unleavened breads are better than those made with yeast.  Try to choose products made with 100% whole-grain flours.  They include wheat, rice, oat, barley, etc.  Unfortunately, milling wheat flour into white flour is done so merely to increase shelf-life for money making schemes.  To make white flour, some mills strip the original wheat of its twenty-two nutrients, bleach it, and enrich it with 5 or 6 synthetic nutrients.  This process makes the flour so foreign to the human body that it actually has to use up stored nutrients to figure out what to do with it.  The bottom line is that some white flour is synthetically toxic and nutrient void.  Also, beware of white rice products that have been nutritionally stripped and bleached.  White flour products include the following:  cakes, pies, cookies, pastries, donuts, breads, crackers, rolls, biscuits, muffins, pancakes, pizza, processed pastas, dumplings, and gravy.  For a safe alternative, we recommend Bobs Red Mill flours for cooking and baking.

White Rice - Rice is tonic, nutritive, a demulcent, and a laxative.  It harmonizes the stomach, builds all tissues through plasma, soothes the nervous system and the brain, and helps rid the body of toxins.  Use organic brown rice because white rice is extracted from its source, nutritionally stripped, and bleached.  Brown rice is best, but if it seems difficult to digest, try Basmati Rice.
